The 15th Environment Congress for Asia and the Pacific (ECO ASIA 2007) to be Held

The Ministry of the Environment is going to convene the 15th Environment Congress for Asia and the Pacific (ECO ASIA 2007) on September 8 in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The aim of this meeting is to promote policy dialogue on the environment through a free exchange of views. Representatives from many nations, including environmental ministers in the Asia-Pacific region, and representatives of international organizations, including the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), will participate in the meeting.
The main topic for discussion at ECO ASIA 2007 is "Asian Efforts to Address Global Environmental Issues." It aims at discussions on international cooperation for waste management and recycling at the national and local level, and climate change.
