Shinjuku-Gyoen National Garden's Closing Time to Be Extended -- Let's enjoy Shinjuku-Gyoen's cherry blossoms in the twilight --

In celebration of the national garden's first 100 years since being named “Shinjuku Gyoen," the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) plans a series of memorial events.
As part of the events, MOE is extending the closing time of the garden for three days to invite the public to enjoy the full bloom of the garden's double cherry blossoms in the twilight.

1. Date: April 18 (Tuesday) - 20 (Thursday), 2006(Three days)

2. Closing time: For the above three days, the entrance gate closes at 5:00 p.m. (The garden closes at 6:00 p.m.)

Regularly, the entrance of the garden is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (The garden closes at 4:30 p.m.)

Sunset in Tokyo is 6:17 p.m. at this time of the year, according to the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan.
