Authorization of the Regional Model Plan for Intensive Introduction of Renewable Energy for CO2 Cutback
The Ministry of Environment (MOE) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) authorize plans drawn up by prefectural and municipal governments to intensively introduce renewable energy in certain local areas. The MOE's regional development program for intensive introduction of renewable energy and the METI's support program for companies that introduce new energy jointly provide financial support for the plans.
For FY2006, two plans, drawn up by Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture, and Kusatsu Town, Gunma Prefecture, have been authorized.
