Global Environment Research Fund "Symposium on the Impacts of Climate Change on Our Life and the Environment" to Be Held

The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) will hold a symposium to widely disseminate the latest scientific knowledge obtained from various studies carried out with the Global Environmental Research Fund (GERF).

In 2006, the GERF Symposium entitled "Impacts of Climate Change on Our Life and the Environment" will be held at Yurakucho Asahi Hall (on the eleventh floor of Yurakucho Marion) on Thursday, November 30.

At the symposium, Professor Hay from the University of Waikato, New Zealand, and Japanese researchers will introduce the latest scientific findings of climate change impacts.
There will also be a panel discussion. One of the speakers is Mrs. Yumi Okoshi, a weather forecaster.

MOE invites all those interested in global environmental problems to attend the symposium.
