Tripartite Environmental Education Workshop & Symposium to be Held

The Ministry of the Environment of Japan will hold a Workshop & Symposium on the Environmental Education of the three countries, Japan, China, and Korea on the 27th and 28th of October 2006, in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. At the workshop, experts from the three countries will discuss ways to promote the Tripartite Environmental Education Network (TEEN). At the Symposium, they will exchange their views and information on environmental education (EE). The Symposium is being co-organized by Ishikawa Prefecture and Kanazawa City.

TEEN is being built under the project of raising environmental community consciousness in the three countries. The project to raise such consciousness was endorsed in the Joint Communique adopted at the 2nd Tripartite Environment Ministers Meeting in 2000.
