Adaptation Forum 2012 held

The Adaptation Forum 2012 was held under the theme "Adaptation in Action" on March 12 and 13 in Bangkok, Thailand by the Asia-Pacific Adaptation Network (APAN) and the Asia-Pacific Climate Change Knowledge Platform for Asia (AKP).
From the Ministry of the Environment, Mr. Shigemoto Kajihara, Deputy Director-General for the Global Environment was invited to present a welcome message as a donor of APAN activities and explained Japan's current efforts and future plans on climate change adaptation. More than 800 participants, such as policy makers, practitioners, researchers, among others discussed various themes on climate change adaptation.
