Workshop on Transition towards Low Carbon Societies in Thailand and Asia - Dialogue between policy makers and researcher and cross-sectoral approach
On November 17-18, 2010, a workshop on Low Carbon Societies (LCS) was held in Bangkok, Thailand, to create momentum for transition towards LCS in national and local policies and actions in Thailand and other Asian countries by enhancing LCS policy-research relations.
176 policy makers and researchers from 4 countries and 11 institutions participated in this 2-day workshop including the MOE of Japan, who presented Japan's policies towards LCS, and NIES, who presented experiences of Japan's LCS research study. The outcome of the workshop and relevant network activities will be presented at COP 16 Side Event in Cancun and other relevant meetings.
