Announcement about the Ogasawara Islands Regional Liaison Committee

In July 2010, experts of the IUCN which is the advisory body for the World Heritage Committee made the field survey on the Ogasawara Islands which were nominated to be listed on the World Heritage List based on the World Heritage Convention in January 2010. The IUCN sent the letter requesting additional information concerning the nomination to Japan, reflecting the results of the survey. The MOE, the Forestry Agency, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Ogasawara Village will hold the Ogasawara Islands Regional Liaison Committee on October 15, 2010 in order to discuss how to answer the requests.
