The 3rd Symposium of "Help Conserve the Japanese Wild Orchids", Symposium and Photo Exhibition calling for conservation of nearly extinct Japanese wild orchids

Approximately 70% of wild orchids in Japan are considered to be nearly extinct. Japan Branch of Orchid Special Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and Shinjuku-Gyoen Management Office will co-host the symposium and exhibition.
Photo exhibition will be held from July 21 to July 25 at the Information Center in Shinjuku-Gyoen National Garden, which will show photos of wild orchids inhabiting in Aomori Prefecture in north Japan, taken by the local photographers. The symposium will be held on July 24 in the same venue, and it will highlight the reports on the feasibility of conservation measures actually carried out by high school students.
