Announcement on the certification system application for businesses detoxifying asbestos wastes

To promote the appropriate treatment of asbestos waste, the MOE implemented a certification system for businesses detoxifying asbestos wastes using sophisticated technologies in compliance with Waste Management and Public Cleansing Law.
The Minister announced today that an application has been submitted by Hokuriku Electric Power Company. Their application documents will be open for public inspection for one month, from April 7 to May 6, 2010. Stakeholders interested in the relevant facilities may submit their comments to the Minister from the perspective of life environment conservation by May 20, 2010.
