"Green Wave 2010" launching

May 22 each year is the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) proclaimed by the United Nations to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity. The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (SCBD) is calling the public to participate in the "Green Wave", a treeplanting campaign for children and youth around the world, at 10:00AM local time on the IDB.

Responding to this call, the MOE, in coordination with the Forestry Agency and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, is calling the same for the participation in the "Green Wave 2010", in which children and youth around the world would plant and water trees during the period from March 1st through May 31st.
