Call for Participants in the "Conference of International Youth on Biodiversity 2010 in Aichi"

The MOE will hold the "Conference of International Youth on Biodiversity 2010 in Aichi" in August, in order to promote intercommunication among young people of the world and to improve their awareness of biodiversity toward the 10th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (so-called "CBD COP10") that will be held in October 2010. The MOE is now inviting participants from colleges, universities and high schools to the conference.
Those who want to join the conference must satisfy some requirements, including the age requirements between 15 and 24 years old and must have English proficiency. Please also check the biodiversity website (http://www.biodic.go.jp/biodiversity/youth/index.html) for detailed information before applying. Application must be submitted by Friday, March 5, 2010.
Please note this call for participants is open only to students in Japan. The call for participants from overseas will be conducted later.
