On behalf of the steering committee for CBD COP10/MOP5, MOE invites comments from a broad spectrum of the public regarding the CBD post-2010 targets (draft "proposal by Japan")

The steering committee consisting of related ministries and agencies to convene the 10th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP-10) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the 5th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (COP MOP/5), developed the draft "proposal by Japan" for the revision of the CBD strategic plan, meaning the establishment of the post-2010 target, to be deliberated in the COP-10 to be held in Aichi-Nagoya in October 2010.
On behalf of the steering committee, MOE invites comments from a broad spectrum of the public regarding the post-2010 targets (draft "proposal by Japan") of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Comments will be accepted from October 30th, 2009 to November 27th, 2009 and should be submitted in Japanese by mail, facsimile, or e-mail.
