"Asia-Pacific Regional Workshop on the Satoyama Initiative Concept" to be held

The Ministry of the Environment and the United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies will convene the "Asia-Pacific Regional Workshop on the Satoyama Initiative Concept" for governmental officials, researchers, and experts in the Asia-Pacific region, and is co-organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Malaysia, the United Nations Environment Programme, the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, and others.
This workshop to be held is the second such meeting, based on the results of the expert meeting held at the UNU headquarters in Tokyo on July 25th to promote the Satoyama initiative globally.
