The Meeting of International Experts on the International Satoyama Initiative Concept "Biodiversity and Sustainability" will be held on the 25th of July, 2009, in the Elizabeth Rose Hall, UNU HQ, Tokyo, organized jointly by the United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies (UNU-IAS) and the Ministry of the Environment of Japan, as co-organized by the United Nations Environment Programme, Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, and the Integrated Research System for Sustainability Science (IR3S) at the University of Tokyo, in cooperation with Utsunomiya University.
