| There are five points in particular which I would like to address
this morning, the first of these being the projects which were presented
to the world as Type II documents of the WSSD, the second being the
“Decade of Education for Sustainable Development” adopted at the
WSSD, the third being the Ministerial Conference on the 3Rs which
Japan proposed at the G8 Summit held in the United States of America
this month, the fourth being Japan’s environmental technologies,
and the fifth being Expo 2005, to be held in Aichi Prefecture next
March. After that I would like to touch briefly on an event which
will be starting tonight, which we call the “Lights Down Event.” |
